NextStep190 is a project to update the County's Zoning, Subdivision, and Land Development regulations, found in Chapter 190 of the County Code of Ordinances.

NextStep190 will result in an updated Chapter 190 that is more user-friendly, sets clear expectations for development and redevelopment in the County, complies with changing state law, and implements the County's 2016 Comprehensive Plan.

NextStep190 is a strategic update to the County's existing development regulations, and will not result in wide-spread County-initiated rezoning. Village boundaries will be amended consistent with the Comprehensive Plan Septic Tier Map, and new village zonings designations will be applied to all 22 villages consistent with the recommendations of this update.

NextStep190 text and map amendments will be effective November 10, 2018.
